Who we are

AirProHQ (airprohq.com) is a free directory of HVAC contractors and heating and cooling cost guides for U.S. homeowners.

The data controller responsible for your personal data is AirProHQ, 483 Chaiyaphruek 3 Alley, Muang Pattaya, Bang Lamung District, Chon Buri 20150, Thailand. You can contact us about anything in this policy at airprohq@gmail.com.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to run the site and understand what people find useful:

• Usage data — pages viewed, how long you stay, how far you scroll, links you click, and any terms you type into our search box.
• Device and online identifiers — IP address, browser, operating system, device type and screen size, plus a randomly generated analytics identifier.
• Approximate location — a country, region and city estimate derived from your IP address. This is not precise location data and we do not use GPS.
• Contact and business details you give us — if you submit a listing enquiry, the business name, location, phone number, email address and website you provide.
• Correspondence — the content of any email you send us.

We do not collect payment details, we do not operate user accounts, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. We do not sell personal data, and we do not make automated decisions that produce legal effects.

Business listings from public sources

Our directory includes contractor names, addresses, phone numbers and ratings compiled from publicly available business profiles. Where a business is a sole trader, that information may constitute personal data. We publish it on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a public business directory that helps homeowners find local contractors. If you are listed and want your entry corrected or removed, email airprohq@gmail.com and we will action it.

How we use your data, and our lawful basis

• Analytics — consent. We use Google Analytics to see which guides are useful and how people find us. Analytics cookies are set only where you have consented, and you can withdraw consent at any time.
• Responding to enquiries — legitimate interests. If you ask to be listed or email us, we use your details to reply and to process the request.
• Running and securing the site — legitimate interests. Our host keeps server logs to deliver pages and protect against abuse.
• Directory listings — legitimate interests. As described above.

Cookies and similar technologies

We show a consent banner the first time you visit. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and any existing ones are deleted; Google Analytics receives only an anonymous, cookieless signal that a page was viewed, with nothing stored on your device. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in our footer.

We do not currently use functionality or targeting cookies.

Advertising

At the date of this policy we do not display advertising on this website. This section explains how advertising will work if and when we introduce it, so you know what to expect.

Advertising may be served by third-party advertising networks and technology providers (for example Google AdSense), and by media agencies, advertising exchanges and their partners acting on behalf of advertisers. Where advertising is served, those third parties may set cookies or similar technologies and may process information such as your IP address, device and browser details, the pages you view and your approximate location, in order to select, deliver, measure and report on adverts — including personalised advertising where you have consented to it.

Advertising and personalisation cookies will only be set where you have given consent, and you will be able to withdraw that consent at any time through Cookie settings. We will update this policy and the cookie table above before any advertising goes live.

Embedded content

Business profile pages embed a Google Map so you can see a contractor's location, and our pages load fonts hosted by Google. When these load, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies under Google's privacy policy. We do not control that processing.

Who we share data with

We may also disclose data where we are required to by law. We do not sell your personal data or share it with anyone for their own marketing purposes.

International transfers

We operate from Thailand and our service providers are based in the United States, so if you are in the UK or European Economic Area your data is transferred outside that area. Where it is, we rely on appropriate safeguards including the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Some providers are also certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

This website is aimed at homeowners in the United States. We nonetheless apply the standards described in this policy — consent before analytics cookies, and the rights set out below — to all visitors, wherever you are.

How long we keep it

• Analytics data — retained by Google Analytics for the period set in our account, after which it is deleted automatically.
• Analytics cookies — up to 2 years, or until you decline or clear them.
• Your consent choice — stored in your browser until you clear it.
• Listing enquiries and correspondence — kept for as long as needed to deal with the request and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted.

Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you have the right to:

• ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• ask us to delete your data;
• object to, or ask us to restrict, our processing;
• receive data you gave us in a portable format;
• withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to your local supervisory authority if you are in the EEA.

Security

This site is served entirely over encrypted HTTPS connections. It is a static website with no user accounts and no payment processing, which keeps the amount of personal data we hold to a minimum.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site develops — in particular if we introduce advertising. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date above, and where the change affects how we use your data we will ask for your consent again.
